Hi all:
Please pass along to all students that the GPSA has changed
the amounts for travel grants beginning this fiscal year (July, 2006). The
Assembly board voted in March to make no distinction between travel
destinations (North America versus other
continents).
Here is what the grants are now:

1. Student presenting a paper, poster or musical composition. Submit acceptance letter or program listing you as a presenter (photocopies acceptable). |

2. Student conducting academic research for a project / dissertation. Submit a letter from your advisor or Dean attesting to the academic benefits of this travel. |
$300 |
|
3. Student presenting on a panel or at a workshop. Submit acceptance letter orprogram listing you as a presenter (photocopies acceptable). |
$300 |
|
|
4. Student participating in a Model United Nations, Model Organization of American States, Moot Court Trial, or the equivalent. Submit proof of attendance or a letter from your advisor or Dean indicating that you participated in the event. |
$300 |
|
|
5. Student attending a meeting in a national organization as an elected officer. Submit a letter or other proof of your participation in this capacity. |
$150 |
|
|
6. Student attending an academic or professional conference, or representing the University of Pittsburgh in an academic competition. Submit a letter from your advisor or Dean attesting to the academic/professional benefits of attendance. |
$150 |
