| Dear all, The 2012 Year of Dragon Spring Festival is coming! To celebrate the Chinese New Year together and share the happiness, Pitt-CSSA is hosting a series of activities. Date: January 21th, Saturday Tea House and Chinese Culture Exhibition, 2 pm to 5 pm, WPU Main Floor There will be games and prizes. Every year, a lot of people participate to appreciate Chinese culture, have fun and enjoy the atmosphere of the festival. Dinner (free for students with registration), 5 pm to 7 pm, WPU Main Floor The website for registration is http://www.pittcssa.net/springfestival2012/. Hurry up, the deadline for registration is Jan. 19th 6pm. This is the site of registration for dinner on Jan. 21th, and after the dinner our Spring Festival Stage Show will start. The deadline for this registration is Jan. 19th, 6:00PM or when all the dinner quotas are reserved, whichever is earlier. http://www.pittcssa.net/springfestival2012/ If you are a Pitt student, you can get free delicious Chinese food as dinner on Jan. 21rh by registration. Dear all, The 2012 Year of Dragon Spring Festival is coming! To celebrate the Chinese New Year together and share the happiness, Pitt-CSSA is hosting a series of activities. Date: January 21th, Saturday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, WPU Main Floor. Tea House and Chinese Culture Exhibition. There will be games and prizes. Every year, a lot of people participate to appreciate Chinese culture, have fun and enjoy the atmosphere of the festival. 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, WPU Main Floor. Dinner (free for students with registration). The website for registration will be open and informed to you in these recent days. 7:30 pm and after, Alumni Hall 7th Floor Auditorium. Spring Festival Stage Show (Chun Wan). Audiences can enjoy Kong Fu, singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, and many other wonderful performances. During the preparation of the event above, there are some other activities waiting for your participation. 1. Video Competition. The winner videos will be displayed at the beginning of the stage show. Prizes will be offered to the winner videos. You can use videotaped material (one to five minutes in length), photos, or pictures to make this video. Topic: Spring Festival. It might relate to the miss of the hometown, the wishes to the family, the Spring Festival celebrating with friends, or anything to show the atmosphere and essence of the Spring Festival. Please contact Qi Zhang (veronica84qq@gmail.com) or Yang Ying (yingyang01@gmail.com) if you are willing to submit a video. 2. Actors and Actress recruitment. We need 3 actors and 2 actresses for the short stage play which is directed by CSSA. Please contact Jingran Sun (jingransun@gmail.com) for the details if you have interests in joining this show. 3. Volunteer recruitment. Every year, our activities are successful due to the help and excellent work of volunteers. This year, we are recruiting volunteers again. Volunteers will be working at activities on January 21th. There will be a reward event for volunteers afterwards, such as eating and hanging out together. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Gangqiang Liu (lgq517@gmail.com) 4. Registration for free dinner. For all students at Pitt, the dinner on January 21th will be free. Many of us are struggling everyday with internship/full-time job search. Many of us have been wondering, when we design our career path, what a Chinese can achieve in this foreign land, and how. Every successful person has his own stories, but they share a lot in common. What we should do is to learn from their experiences the essence of success and find our own way. Chinese Career Development Forum will give you this opportunity to hear great stories of success. The forum is presented by University of Pittsburgh Students and Scholars’ Association (Pitt-CSSA), Chinese Association for Science and Technology-Pittsburgh Chapter (CAST-P), and Carnegie Mellon University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CMU-CSSA). This is the first time our three organizations work together on career development. We believe this forum will create a great event not only for Chinese students but also Chinese professionals in Pittsburgh area. We sincerely hope that each of you will benefit from this forum.
